Atoms are an abstract topic for students to grasp. In this hands on activity students will work with their periodic table to determine the number of protons, electrons and neutrons in a given element. Then they will create it.
Element Cards are included for the first 10 Elements along with 2 blank cards that you can assign or have students pick out on their own.
This activity can be completed individually or in groups. I have included both color and a black and white version. You can have the students cut it and create it on their own or you can cut and laminate a class set that can be used over and over again. The cards are perfect size for interactive notebooks or can be stapled together as a packet.
Answer Key for the Element Cards is included
