These sight word mats will help your students learn and practice the first hundred Fry words, in a fun, hands-on way. Students build each word with letter tiles or letter beads, or write them with dry erase markers. Then, they practice writing them and using them in sentences.
There are 20 mats in color and 20 mats in black and white, each containing 5 words, in the order of frequency.
Just leave the cards out at your word work center and students can practice building and writing the words each week. For a fun challenge, every card also has a sight word to unscramble.
To prepare, just print and laminate the cards, or put them in sheet protectors. Add letter tiles or beads, dry erase markers and erasers, and you are good to go!
