This activity is great for building cooperation and sportsmanship along with requiring the class to use a variety of skills. I’ve been able to use this at any grade level K-12 to help build the following skills : communication, sportsmanship, muscular strength, muscular endurance, speed, quickness, teamwork, balance, control, and hand-eye coordination. It’s easily adaptable and if you have trouble finding a way to adapt it for your class, then let me know and I’ll help. The activity requires minimal equipment and can be done in any open space. The objective of the activity is to try to work as a team building and balancing cups to make a pyramid or tower. During this activity the students will need to work together using their communication skills along with the other skills mentioned above to accomplish their goal. Each team will try to find a way to move as quickly as possible before the teams finish. It can be used as a challenge, a warm-up, or cool-down. The possibilities are endless depending on your imagination. Try this if you are looking for a cooperative activity. Enjoy!
