NO-PREP! Ink Friendly! Print & Go!
Your students will love making this gingerbread house while practicing their sounds!
This activity was designed to be a simple, no-prep activity to target articulation during
the winter holiday season. It is a simple cut and paste craft!
I also have another version of this activity that is coloring only (for students who are not able to cut the pictures out). This pack if for early developing sounds. Click it out here
Commonly targeted phonemes included:
• Initial/Medial/Final: k, g, f, l, s, ch, sh
• lblends, rblends, sblends (separate mats for sp, st, sm, sn, sk, sl, sw, mixed)
• Pre-vocalic r, or, er, ar
• Blank page (to use with any speech/language target)
None! Print & go!
To use: Print out a Candy House page for every student in the group (page 3 of the download). Print out the sound pages with the target sounds needed for each student. I have the students color the blank house first so that they are ready to build the gingerbread house. The student will color and practice each target word on the parts of the house. The student will cut out the parts and practice the words again.
The student will glue each part on the house and practice the words one more time!
