8 picture mats
5 blank building mats
172 blocks with pictures
There are 2 sets of word blocks provided for each picture mat to allow for use with 2 students. If there are more than 2 students in a group, print additonal mats and blocks, or use different sets of mats and blocks for different students.
Play 1: Give student(s) a completed picture mat. Students imitate words on the individual blocks. When all the words have been produced, the student(s) can use the blocks to assemble the picture on the mat. The studets can repeat the words again if you want additonal practice.
Play 2: Give student(s) a blank mat. Choose the blocks that you wish the students to produce. When all the words on the blocks have been produced, the student(s) can assemble or create a picture with their blocks on the mat.
