Building Bricks- Area and Perimeter Seat Scoot Class Activity
Let's practice finding perimeter and area with building bricks and a seat scoots activity!
- Teacher info (Teacher prep, how to play)
- 2 posters on perimeter and area, building brick themed
- 20 seat scoot cards
- 3 different answer sheets- differentiate your lesson! ( perimeter, area, or perimeter and area)
How to play:
1: Each student has a copy of the record sheet and a pencil. If desired, students may choose to use a clipboard as well.
2: Place one seat scoot card on each desk.
3: On your signal, students turn over the card at their desk. Write down the information on the card in the appropriate box on your record sheet.
4. At the teacher’s special signal (a song, a phrase, or sound), students take their recording sheet and “seat scoot,” or move to the next seat.
They will now turn over a new card and record their responses.
Play continues until all students have answered all 20 cards or until time runs out.
