I have students build the fall words in my pocket chart but this activity can be done easily on a table or on the floor.
I differentiate this centre based on my students’ skill level:
· Some students build the words in the pocket chart, then read the words to me or a friend.
· Some students build the words in the pocket chart, then complete the worksheet that asks students to . When finished, students read the 8 words to me or a friend.
· Some students build the words in the pocket chart, then complete the worksheet that asks students to . When finished, students read the 4 sentences to me or a friend.
There is a reference card that students can use to build and print the fall words.
There are 2 worksheets that ask students to figure out the fall word based on the “word shape.” Then draw a picture.
