Learning Objective

The students will practice reading comprehension skills while thinking about the best choices for making and maintaining friendships. They will be using the Boom Learning platform for digital learning.

Description

Building and maintaining friendships can be difficult for many children. This resource can help the children think through many troublesome friendship situations on a fun digital platform.

Why use Building Friendships BOOM Digital Task Cards: Children love the Boom digital task cards, which motivates them to use this resource. Making friends can be challenging for many, and this resource helps children learn to make choices that benefit their friendships. Plus, they’re getting some practice on reading comprehension skills in the process!

How it works: For each situation, the children choose the best scenario for making friends. Although most of the correct choices are obvious, each choice gives the children time to think about the consequences of their actions with other children.

What’s included: There are 20 digital task cards, each giving a different situation that could happen with friendships. Each situation has 4 answer choices.

Boom Cards are easy for the teacher and fun for the children! These can be played on computers or tablets, give immediate feedback to the children, and detailed data for the teacher.
