Do you want to engage your students in spontaneous language but not sure what to use? These language scenes are the ticket for you! Students can do one of two things with you for each picture. They can find an object (located on the outside of the main scene) within the scene itself. This lends itself to using correct prepositions, pronouns, and vocabulary. In addition, for each picture scene is a page of questions that include yes/no, what, who, how, why as well as topic vocabulary for the scene.
Included are 12 picture scenes and 1 page of questions and vocabulary topics for each scene. They are easy to use - just print on card stock and laminate or put in a page protector.
My students have enjoyed finding the pictures, learning vocabulary and using their expressive language to ask questions, make connections and tell stories. Use these for those weeks when you have little time to plan, to use with a substitute or engaging new students in a spontaneous manner. You can also use these for taking language samples, fluency rates and more.
If you like this product, please remember to leave feedback and let me know your thoughts. I hope you like them as much as my students have!
