Letter Naming Fluency is something we have to build. Many kindergarten students come to school not knowing letter names of the alphabet. They can sing the song, but do not understand the relationship between the letter name and the actual grapheme.
These letter naming fluency pages have been created to gradually build fluency as young students learn the letters of the alphabet. The letters are grouped in sets per page. Capital and lowercase letters are on separate practice pages to begin with.
Emergent readers need this early practice and repetition of letter naming to become fluent and capable of naming letters on sight before they appear in a mixed grouping of all 52 graphemes.
Tables to chart class and individual student progress are included.
