Teen numbers can be a tricky topic. Teen numbers are the basis for place value as we decompose numbers into a group of ten and some extra ones. This activity is perfect for math time or center time as students can put together two leaves to create the number featured on the flower's center. This set is perfect for your pre-k, or kindergarten classroom.
Students will practice the following concepts:
Students will practice putting the two parts/addends together to find the sum/whole.
Students will develop their understanding of place value by recognizing teen numbers are a group of ten and a collection of ones.
Students will recognize the numerals on the flower and leaves.
