You have to "reach 'em, before you can "teach 'em"! Get to know your students and let them get to know each other with these fun, cooperative learning activities. The first week of school is a crucial time to start building that classroom culture of acceptance and cooperation. Use these 4 different Ice Breaker activities to get kids talking to each other, complimenting each other and getting to know each other. Everything you need for these activities is included, except for paper lunch bags. All directions are included and 2 activities come with a printable graphic organizer. I use these every year and they are fun!
Ice Breakers include:
1) Forming random groups based on 4 characters from popular Disney movies or shows to compare likes and dislikes using a unique 4 way Venn.
2) Sharing what you like but having to repeat everyone that has gone in front of you
3) Collecting and giving compliments or "High Fives" on a handprint graphic
4) Creating a Brag Bag - full of items about you.
