"We are on a mission to bring more interactivity to the history classroom by getting students out of the desk to play with the lesson." All you need is a data projector, computer with the Flash Player, and a screen or smart board.
The next best thing to do is buy the PBS video on Wright. This program gives us a look at five of his buildings and their relationship to nature of geography. I have included five links to Google Maps and included 5 links to the geographic features the buildings line up with. Students can race to see who matches the street view on the program Good practice for Google Maps. They also get to see the latitude and longitude of each building.
1. The demolished Larkin Building - it's a parking lot now - what a shame!
2. Unity Temple
3. Falling Water
4. Johnson Wax
5. The Guggenheim Museum
Videos of each building were increased - Road sign review of each building - Drag and Drop the buildings in their correct locations and score yourself. Sources for other activities. Completed graphic organizer in PDF format and an Introduction and conclusion were added.
