Product Description
This is a complete bulletin board you can print straight from your office printer. Print the Black and White Line version and have the kids color it in as a great community activity! If you choose the color printing version, simply print and post!

“September” Window Illusion is an adorable scene of a cheerful school bus greeting a happy little red schoolhouse. The file includes both the full color as well as the black and white line version of the image. (For your future reference, I created a bulletin board for each month—plus summer camp!)

*This file prints to fit a 3' x 5 or 6 foot bulletin board.

I designed my first “Window Illusion” Bulletin Board to meet an urgent need for myself. I needed to quickly transform my High School art classroom into a camp art room for ages 4-10. My art camp began the day after high school ended! Knowing that this crunch moment was approaching, I used my art and Adobe Illustrator skills to prepare in advance. I created a window design that incorporated the white borders that result from printing on a standard office printer. By using the white lines to delineate window panes, I was able to create a huge image using my printer’s constraints. By adding some folded paper “curtains”, I had two beautiful bulletin boards in a snap.

My mother taught 2nd grade for thirty years, and in my youth she put me to work each fall as her bulletin board creator. I loved the job! Years later, when I became the art teacher in a K-2 school, I realized how much work teachers put into those beautiful bulletin boards. Not only do teachers decorate their classrooms, but the many large bulletin boards that line the corridors.

As a parent, when I toured schools to decide where to send my child, the bulletin boards created the image of the school. The quality of the bulletin boards formed my impression of the standard of the school’s teaching. Love and care in the bulletin boards showed the teachers’ hard work and established a cheerful and child-friendly learning environment.

Teachers work so hard. Having access to beautiful, printable bulletin board designs will save hours of labor for caring teachers. Children will enjoy bright, cheerful spaces decorated.with images designed to delight and inspire. I hope my line of “Window Style” bulletin boards helps you and I hope you enjoy them.
