This skit focuses on verbal bullying. Marvin dreams he's a fish who keeps getting "hooked" by the mean words a fisherman throws out at him. Luckily, his fish friend, Jessie, teaches him five effective techniques he can use to avoid "taking the bait". This skit is the second in a series of six scripts dealing with bullying prevention. The skits are non-sequential and can be used independently of one another if desired.
Marvin and Jessie skits are easy to prepare, fun to present, and your students will absolutely love them! Characters, played by staff members, will model character traits in memorable and often humorous ways. Each skit is approximately 30 minutes long and is presented at an all-school assembly. Songs and follow-up lessons are available.
