Bump is a fun game for 2 players that reviews multiplication facts up to 10 x 10, including squares. Students draw a card from 1-10 and multiply that number by the number specific to the game board they are using. In my class we use a deck of cards (aces are ones), but I've included a page of cards 1-10 that you can print if you don't have enough card decks. Dice can always be used as well.
I use 2-color circles as markers in my classroom. Ideally, it would be great to use clear markers so you don't have to peek under the marker, but my students have not had any troubles with not being able to see through. You could even use colored paper cut up into squares if you wanted. Each player needs 8 markers.
