These lessons will teach students about taking responsibility for behavior. They will learn and practice the stop and think strategy before making a choice, especially when having strong, uncomfortable feelings such as anger. Students will also learn and practice important steps to repair the situation or relationship once they have made a mistake or poor choice: admit they made a mistake, accept responsibility, make the apology, and accept the consequences. Taking responsibility for behavior is an important skill necessary for maintaining healthy, positive relationships in life.
These scripted lessons and activities can be used in the small group setting, classroom guidance lessons, and individual counseling sessions. Printer-friendly student pages and handouts are included as well. These pages use less ink.
