Bundle includes PowerPoint, Part 3 Graphic Organizer / Worksheet, & Outline:
Sometimes we need a break from reading when we are preparing for the ELA. We can practice writing a great text analysis without always reading a text. This PowerPoint lesson allows students to practice for the Part 3 text analysis by watching a short interesting video from youtube (the video can be easily found elsewhere if you do not have access to youtube in your school). This lesson includes an exemplar of a text-analysis relating to the video. The Powerpoint is colorful and interesting! Great for all populations of students. I use this every year with my general ed, special ed, and ENL students. You will see how much your students appreciate a break from all of the reading. Enjoy!
This is a one-page graphic organizer/worksheet to help students prepare to write the ELA Part 3 text analysis. It helps students to formulate their ideas in an organized way, which will assist them in writing the text analysis more easily.
This is a simple 2-page handout that provides a brief overview for part 3 and an outline format for students to follow. It also includes suggested literary elements that work well for part 3, as well as a brief review of ethos, pathos, and logos for those non-fiction texts that come up.
