The 2017 film, The Greatest Showman, is a wonderful movie that celebrates our unique qualities and talents. It looks at the story of P.T. Barnum, played by Hugh Jackman, and his early days of the circus. This would be a great film to use for an end of the year film or when helping students celebrate how we are all created differently and with our own talents. The movie also stars Zac Efron, Zendaya, Keala Settle, and Michelle Williams.
The worksheet contains 40 movie questions and I have included an answer key for your convenience. This movie is rated PG for thematic elements including a brawl.
A Wrinkle in Time- This 2018 movie is based off of the 1962 novel by Madeleine L'Engle. The star-studded cast includes Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Michael Peña, and Chris Pine. A young girl, Meg, is still struggling with the disappearance of her scientist father. Meg's brother and friend join her on the search for him while also receiving help from Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Who. The movie is visually astounding with amazing costumes and colorful sets.

Hocus Pocus (1993) follows the tale of three Salem witches, the Sanderson Sisters, who have returned on Halloween night after 300 year. This fun classic stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters. This movie would be fun to use during the Halloween season.

Please note- Around 43 minutes the film uses the word “damn” multiple times. It is used another time 79 minutes in and 84 minutes in they say “Go to Hell”. They also say virgin a good bit. I just wanted to give fair warning in case you are using this with younger children. it would be easy to mute these words during the film.
The Man Who Invented Christmas follows Charles Dickens' journey and experiences that led to his book, A Christmas Carol. His book went on to change the way we view Christmas and led to generosity among many. The movie stars Dan Stevens and Christopher Plummer.
This film would be a wonderful addition to a Charles Dickens unit in literature class or a great film to show before Christmas Break. The film is rated PG for thematic elements and some mild language and the runtime is 104 minutes.
