The book ‘I Will Be Me’, was written with the 4-8 year old age group in mind and the accompanying lesson plan is designed to:
*impress upon the youth that anyone can do anything regardless of gender
*it meets the 'Big Ideas' standard for the BC Curriculum, grades K-3
*it meet the 'Social Studies Core Competencies' requirements for grades K-3
This lesson plan includes a digital copy of the book, a printout of the main art assignment "I will be me..." and an outline on how to encourage and support students in embracing themselves just as they are.
