Product Description
This is a bundle of eight posters sold individually. The posters highlight the Common Core Math Practices. Each poster is 18 x 24 inches.

CCSS.Math.Practice.MP1 states students should make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
Discussion Questions:
• In what hobby or activity do you participate? How is persistence significant in the activity?
• Why might persistence be important in math?
• What will persistence look like for you in this class?
• What can you do when you feel like giving up?

CCSS.Math.Practice.MP2 states students should reason abstractly and quantitatively.
Discussion Questions:
• As you look at the graph, what do you notice?
• What do you wonder?
• How might you determine how the graphs are related?
• What kind of situation might the graph represent?

CSS.Math.Practice.MP3 states students should construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
Discussion Questions:
• What does justifying your conclusions look like in math class?
• What does making your thinking visible mean?
• How might you justify your conclusions? How might you make your thinking visible?
• Why do you thinking justifying your work is important?

CCSS.Math.Practice.MP4 states students should model with mathematics.
Discussion Questions:
• What is a mathematical model?
• How is a model related to solving a problem?
• What will making a mathematical model look like in our class?
• Why is making a math model significant?

CCSS.Math.Practice.MP5 states students should choose tools strategically
Discussion Questions:
• What are mathematical tools?
• Do you have a favorite tool? Which one?
• How do you choose the best tools for solving problems?
• What do you need to know about a problem in order to choose the best tool for solving it?

CCSS.Math.Practice.MP6 states students should attend to precision.
Discussion Questions:
• Why is precision important in math?
• How is precision important when using equality symbols?
• How might you use always, sometimes, and never when discussing math?
• Why are brackets discussed in terms of precision?

CCSS.Math.MP7 states students should look for and make use of structure.
Discussion Questions:
• Examine the numerical statements in the poster. What do you notice?
• How is structure significant in numerical relationships?
• How might you use structure to help you solve problems?

CCSS.Math.Practice.MP8 states students should look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.
Discussion Questions:
• What do you notice about the patterns in the poster?
• How might you describe the patterns?
• Why are patterns important in math?
• How can you use patterns to solve problems?
