Bundle: Upper Grade ELA Reading and Writing Warm Ups

This bundle contains resources you need to help your students bridge reading with language and grammar and writing. There are six volumes and THIRTY weeks of instruction!

Each volume contains five high interest informational passages. Students use the passage each day of the week as they walk through language, writing, and reading comprehension standards.

These activities can be done as a warm up during your reading or writing block. It can also be used as homework or even in small group work.

Standards covered in this bundle include:

introductory words, compound words, conjunctions, prepositions, interjections, verb tenses, commas in a series, titles, quotation marks, Greek and Latin roots, prefixes and suffixes, metaphors, similes, idioms, synonyms and antonyms, prepositional phrases, subjects and predicates, frequently confused words, capitals, punctuation, sentence types, nouns, adjectives, pronouns

Each volume contains additional resources, too. Included are folder covers, a student fact collection sheet to record learning, extension menus and correlating worksheets/activities, and RACE resources.
