    Marbury v. Madison, 1803...establishes the principle of Judicial review.
    Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824...established Federal Government's power to regulate Interstate Commerce.
    Dred Scott v. Sanford, 1857...defined the right of citizen/slaves.
    Plessy v. Ferguson, 1896...established "separate but equal" protection under the law.
    Brown v. Board of Education, 1954...overturned Plessy v. Ferguson "separate but equal".
    Gideon v. Wainwright, 1963...establishes the right to have legal counsel.
