This is a bundle of two power point presentations on Ancient Greece. Power point #1 reviews how Greece became a significant civilization in ancient times while power point #2 reviews what life was like in ancient Greece. Both are highly animated to keep the attention of the students and are "editable" so you can customize and update as you wish.

Ancient Greece was a civilization belonging to a period of Greek history that lasted from the Archaic period of the 8th to 6th centuries BC to the end of antiquity. Ancient Greek culture reached its pinnacle during the 4th century BC - an era described as its "Golden Age." Greek influence stretched along the northern rim of the Mediterranean from the shores of Asia Minor to the Italian peninsula. Art, theater, music, poetry, philosophy, and political experiments such as democracy flourished.

Ancient Greek society fell over 2000 years ago but despite this, its mythology still continues to influence our western society, as does architecture. References to Greek mythology can be found all through time and in our western culture. The influence of Greek mythology can be found in our science, arts and literature and our language. The Roman Empire, adapted its mythologies which still influence us today as they have through history.

Ancient Greece was so advanced that it has left a legacy on different world cultures, including the United States of America. It was the Greeks who first introduced the concept of democracy, a governmental system proven to be the best form of government known to man.
