It also includes a 19-slide presentation that covers the 15 common vocabulary words of Florida Civics Benchmark SS.7.C.3.13. Together the slides number 62. Both are editable, so you can change them or reorder the slides to fit your individual needs.
Power Point #1 is entitled, Establishing the US Government - Comparing the US & Florida Constitutions and contains 43 slides.
The first part of the presentation identifies the commonality of the U. S. Constitution and the State of Florida Constitution followed by the ways that both the U.S. Constitution and State of Florida Constitution are amended.
Although the U. S. Constitution outlined broad powers, states were given the power to enforce their own laws and how to interact with other states. The rights given in the U.S. Constitution cannot be taken away by a state constitution, but state constitutions can guarantee MORE rights or offer greater protection of national rights. Every state in the Union has their own constitution as does many cities. Every state constitution is different but has commonality with the United States Constitution.
