Following a key, students match a word's function with its representative color. They then color squares to reveal a mystery picture. The Language Arts skills practiced with these pictures are recognizing parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, interjections), degrees of adjectives, tenses of verbs (simple, progressive, perfect), and synonyms for common words. These coloring sheets can be printed for individual students to solve, or they can be projected on a whiteboard for whole group instruction/participation. This activity aligns with Common Core Standard ELA L.1.
PLEASE NOTE: Each of these Mystery Pictures is offered separately in my TpT Store. By purchasing this bundle the buyer basically receives one mystery picture free.
