Bundle Description

These In a Million Words or Less letters are an amazing resource to help build relationships with your students and families.

Click here to read the blog post, "In a Million Words or Less...How one easy-to-use homework assignment can help build positive relationships with your students and families."

This bundle contains letters in English only, Spanish only, and bilingual versions with English and Spanish prompts printed on the same sheet of paper. There are also editable versions of everything in case you want to alter the prompt, or even add instructions in an additional language.

Each letter has a prompt, asking students and families to share anything they want you to know as their teacher.

You simply assign the letters as a homework assignment for both students and families.

I've been using these letters in my middle school classroom for years as an easy way to connect with families. I've been blown away by the information that people are willing to share with you if you just give them a chance.

From inspiring stories to tragic family situations, I've been able to learn about my students and families by asking them to tell me anything they'd like me to know about their student or family, in a million words or less...
