For best usage, please laminate and cut. This game can be used in many ways; such as teacher led small group, whole class and student center. Place the cards in a small box/container; make sure to place a few carrot cards in between the CVC bunny cards. Students will pick a card and read it. If they read the card correctly they get to keep it, but if they pull a carrot card the game is over! Another way of playing this game is using a pocket chart. Choose a few CVC bunny cards and place a carrot card behind it. Place CVC bunny cards in the pocket card and have students pick a CVC bunny card to read. Once the student is done reading the card, the student will turn the card over to check to see if there is a carrot behind the CVC bunny card. If a carrot is found behind a CVC bunny card the game is over. Students may keep the CVC bunny cards they read correctly and does not have a carrot behind it.
