“Bunny’s Flower Stand”
Reinforce sight words, color words, sequencing, verbs, and reading quotations with this fun and engaging emergent reader! My "Bunny’s Flower Stand" mini book practices the sight words come, to, my, said, I, have, of, down, the, I, will, get, one, two, three, and color words. The story features semi predictable text and follows Bunny’s day as he sells flowers at his stand. He calls out to his animal friends, who take turns coming to buy a variety of numbers and colors of flowers. I have included three response activities. First, students will think back to the text and complete a graphic organizer by drawing the animals, in order, that came to the flower stand. Second, students will complete sentences with the verb that tells how each animal came to the stand. Last, students will follow a color by sight word code to color a flower stand.
