This is a one-page observation sheet students can use during the float/sink science lab. Students test whether everyday objects sink or float and record their results. Objects are listed below.
Before carrying out the lab, students predict whether each object will float or sink.
Then students can test each object in groups.
Discuss as a class.
I have also included an adapted version for students who have a bit more difficulty writing. If students have dyslexia, I would print the adapted sheet on coloured paper!
Hope this helps!
The objects listed are:
Marbles, feather, clay, button, popsicle stick, sponge, sea shell, pom pom, clothespin, rock
