Welcome to The Burger Cafe! Here we are using a ruler to measure different size burgers (centimeters or inches). After, you can have your students make a line plot with the data. Start your lesson while teaching whole group and measuring different types of food (real or plastic) and making your own line plot with the data you recorded as a class. Get small paper plates from Dollar Tree to have them glue their line plot on when they are finished to add to the scene. You can see an example of how I set up my classroom for this activity in the preview. There is also an activity that you can use in your math centers (including paper food if needed). Answer keys are included. Thanks for coming to The Burger Cafe! Inspired by Hope King at the Get Your Teach On conference! Check out her store "Elementary Shenanigans" on TPT.
