This is a fun way to get students reading early in the year as they work as police sketch artists reading clues provided by witnesses, drawing up portraits of the suspects, and then following clues to figure out who is the alleged criminal.
This grab and go activity includes 10 short and comprehensible paragraphs describing various suspects and provides repetitive vocabulary and simple structures for beginning Spanish students. Targeting adjectives, simple physical descriptions, age, and names this is an ideal way to build student confidence in their reading abilities while adding intrigue and interest! Students will first draw the suspects based on the descriptions given and then read through 25 clues that match various suspects to figure out who is the correct criminal.
Keep students engaged, and on task. Easy enough for a substitute to use!
