If your classroom looks at all like mine, your students are basically obsessed with brands, companies, and entrepreneurs! It seems to be part of our current climate, and I absolutely love fostering that entrepreneurial spirit through engaging, creative assignments. Well in this awesome lesson, your students will become the entrepreneur and create a video where they give advice to the next generation of entrepreneurs!
To begin, students will research the following types of business organizations: sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporations, franchises, cooperatives, and nonprofits. They can use the internet or the textbook to record the characteristics and examples of each type. Next, students will start their Entrepreneur Mentorship Video Assignments where they work in teams of 3 to dig deep into the life, career, successes, and failures of the entrepreneur of their choice. Then one student in each group will become the entrepreneur while they tell “their” life story, business organization, and advice to the next generation of entrepreneurs through a video. I love watching students really get into their roles!
