This Business Plan Project is designed for high school or middle school students taking a class on Entrepreneurship, Business, Computer Skills, or any related subject. Students use the Business Plan guidelines to design their own business. The included spreadsheets (cash-flow and break even) allow them to tinker with the numbers and determine if their business idea is realistic. Teachers are encouraged to allow for time in a computer lab in order to get confident in the use of these financial spreadsheets. This project is great for letting kids explore their business ideas and let them figure out that they are capable of coming up with a business idea. I'm sure this will follow along with any entrepreneurship textbook. Enjoy!!
This is an Excel spreadsheet that consists of three tabs: An outline with all of the parts of the project (Introduction, Logo, Slogan, Executive Summary, Financials, Marketing, Etc.), A Cash-Flow spreadsheet that will help students understand how long they need to pay back a loan, and a Break-Even analysis spreadsheet that will help students calculate how many units need to be sold to break even. The Outline sheet has information for points and pages for each section, along with guided questions. It is ready to be printed and handed to students. The preview is only a little peek at what the outline has.
There might be occasional formatting issues with the excel spreadsheets and the formulas, please let me know if you need any help!
