Busy Bee A 'ee' Vowel Digraph Game from Sally's Spot
Children take turns drawing a card and reading it. If they read the word they keep it. If they can’t read the word, they will discard it.
If a child draws a honey card, each player must give him/her a card.
If a child draws a big bee card, he/she has to give each child a card.
If a child draws a bee spray card, he/she loses all cards to the discard pile.
If a child draws a flower card, each child must give him/her 2 cards.
The child with the most cards after all cards have been drawn is the winner.
Where's baby bee?
This activity can be used in whole group or small group.
Place some ‘ee’ bee word cards in a pocket chart. Hide baby bee behind one of the bee cards. Children guess where the baby bee is by reading the word on the card that they think it is behind. Play continues until baby bee is found. The children love this activity! This is a great warm-up or wrap-up activity.
