Busy Bees Set 1: Getting ready for the first day of school
Establishing a welcoming and supportive classroom
Early childhood teachers aim to establish a welcoming and supportive classroom environment in which children have a sense of belonging and ownership and feel valued.
While not the most important ingredient in a positive environment, having a class mascot or theme can help to establish a bond between teacher and class members.
I have found the theme of “Busy Bees” to have a lot of potential when establishing my classroom environment. However, making resources to establish the theme can be time consuming.
For this reason I have produced this package of resources to help you get ready for day one in your early childhood classroom. Most templates are ready-made with fill-able boxes for adding the names of your own students. These can then be printed, cut out and laminated, ready for use.
This package includes:
Welcome letter template
Desk name template
Name badge template
Who is here? - chart heading
Find your name - poster
Name card template

Suggestions for use
I hope you enjoy using these templates for busy bees.
I’m sure your children will love them.
Mine always have!
