With these two butterfly themed math activities, students will have the opportunity to move around the room and work closely with their peers to practice computation skills.
In Butterfly Subtraction, students move around the room in search for subtraction picture cards to record on their answer sheets. Butterfly Subtraction is very similar to most "Write the Room" activities, and requires students to search for letters of the alphabet on each card and match it to the one found on the recording sheet. Students will complete each number sentence by writing numbers that match the images they counted on each card. There are two versions of the recording sheet. One has the first number already filled-in and the other doesn't.
In Flyin' High for Addition, students use their graph reading skills to write addition equations.
Each activity can be used as whole group, or as an individual learning center activity.
