This simple, fun craftivity is a great way for students to show you what they’ve learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. Students will glue each stage of the butterfly life cycle onto four leaves and then string it onto a pipe cleaner in the correct order. Some students may choose to leave the pipe cleaner straight, like a branch, or tie it together in a circle to represent the life cycle.
You can use it at the beginning of your unit when teaching students the correct sequence or you can use it at the end of your unit to assess student mastery as they sequence and describe the stages in order.
