This product comes with 8 sequence cards (4 photo and 4 clipart) with labels for students to sequence the life cycle of a butterfly.

How I used these :

Laminate the sequence strips and cards and put velcro on the cards and strip squares so students can place them in the correct order.

1. Recognize that animals (including humans) and plants are living things that grow, reproduce, and need food, air, and water.
3. Recognize that plants and animals have life cycles, and that life cycles vary for different living things.
* Using either live organisms or pictures/models, observe the changes in form that occur during the life cycle of a butterfly or frog.
4. Describe ways in which many plants and animals closely resemble their parents in observed appearance.
* Look at and discuss pictures of animals from the same species. Observe and discuss how they are alike and how they are different.
8. Identify the ways in which an organism’s habitat provides for its basic needs (plants require air, water, nutrients, and light; animals require food, water, air, and shelter).
