This can be used as a short story book for the kids or it can be used to make an informative bulletin board to go with your teaching activities. It includes the four stages of the butterfly life cycle. It also includes a set of cards that I use as a visual aid support to help the students understand the process. Once they have heard or read the steps, I give them only the sequencing cards and have them arrange them in the order they think they go. Then I have the students retell the steps from egg to butterfly. Sometimes I also put the cards in the incorrect order and have the students rearrange them into the correct order. Once they have mastered this step, I take away the visual supports and have them retell the process from memory. I find that this really helps my learners that need multiple modality input. They are hearing, reading, retelling, and manipulating. It also includes a vocabulary worksheet to help students master the unfamiliar words when describing the stages. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful!
