This bundle is a great way to incorporate some science about the life cycle of butterflies into reading and math. This bundle goes perfectly with a popular book about a famous caterpillar. Included in this packet are 6 themed activities to use in centers while using this popular book. These activities can all be bought separately, however you will save money by buying the packet. Scrambled Sentences: Students will create 5 sentences about the life cycle of a butterfly.
Butterfly Story Sequencing: Pocket chart sequencing cards, lift the flap book about the life cycle of butterflies, and cut/paste activity that sequences the story.
Phoneme Segmentation: Students draw a card, tells how many sounds are in the word, and then moves that many spaces on the game board.
"War": Each student flips a card over and the one with the biggest number wins.
Counting by 2s, 5s, 10s: Worksheets and flashcards for your students to fill in the missing numbers and practice skip counting. They will count by 5's and 10's to 100, and count by 2's to 20.
Missing #, Biggest #, # Recognition: Students will practice filling in the missing number or circling the biggest number depending on the worksheet. Also included is a page that can be laminated and used with a 1-minute timer for students to see how many numbers 1-100 they can recognize in 1 minute.
