Thanks for checking out my counting jars!
Included in this pack are 20 jars labeled with a numeral from 1-20. I suggest printing them on white cardstock or construction paper, laminating them for durability, and cutting the pages in half to separate all jars (when printed, there are 2 jars per page). When cut apart, each jar card will measure 5.5” x 8.5”. ☺
These simple jar templates are full-color and engaging for the youngest of learners. I use these button jars as a math (counting) center at the beginning of the year in my kindergarten class. I have a huge box of mismatched buttons that are the perfect complement to them! Of course, you can use any kind of manipulative you want with your students. Kids simply select a jar, read the number, and “fill” the jar with that many buttons. Students gain practice in reading numerals and in counting sets of objects with one-to-one correspondence. There are 20 jazzy jars, so you can scaffold the level of difficulty for your various students’ abilities.
Have fun counting!
