I created this activity for students to use in order to practice matching the different place value forms (word, base ten blocks, short word, and expanded) to standard form.
The students cut out the bees and match them to the hive that represents the number the bees are carrying. They paste them in the provided boxes.
This file includes:
- Cover sheet for center folder
- Activity in worksheet format (2 pages of questions and 1 page of
bees to cut out. A total of 32 questions)
- Same activity above, but in a center format for those whom would
like to use it as a center instead of a worksheet.
- Center Directions
- Answer key.
I have listed this across grade levels to account for differing curriculums, skill levels, AIS support review activities, etc. I use this whole-group in 3rd grade.
