“Candy Land” game is commonly found in most speech therapy settings. These Candyland cards are designed to help students practice subjective pronouns (he, she, and they) and subject verb agreement (is and are) while playing the game of Candy land. This card set would be used in place of the original Candy Land game cards. They are look-alike cards with either one square or two in a variety of colors with pictured action scenes super imposed on the squares. Students are asked to verbally produce a sentence based upon the scene on the card using he, she or they as well as is/are each time they take their turn while playing the game. (Example: If the student picks a card that has a boy with a camera the student might say, “He is taking a picture with the camera.” If the card shows a girl dancing, the student might say, “She is dancing.” If the card shows a group of people in a boat, the student might say, “They are boating.”) This download includes 96 different pictured scenes. A list of the target actions that can be used with the pictures is included in order to help the speech language therapist identify the pictured scenes if necessary. The cards also include the 6 special cards that go with the game board. Different special cards have been included so you can choose the ones that go with your game board (new or older versions). A title sheet is also included and can be used as a label for the Ziploc bag that the cards can be stored in. This game can be used in group or individual instruction with non-readers.
