This is a hands on way for students to identify the step by step process used when dividing mixed numbers. Students enjoy moving the cards and discovering the correct order of the division process. When done, students are challenged to fill in before and after when given the proper fraction multiplication. What would the division look like right before the multiplication? What Mixed numbers would be used to replace the improper fractions? Students will also solve the multiplication of the fractions and simplify the fractions for the final answer. Low , Medium and High have been added to give students a sense of achievement. An additional page is included with fewer problems for those that need it.
