Be sure to check out my Halloween graphing / data packet for more activities: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/HALLOWEEN-CATEGORIZING-GRAPHING-DATA-ACTIVITIES-Common-Core-Aligned
I created this packet for my own students. While teaching them how to create bar graphs, I noticed that some were forgetting to label the x axis/categories or were simply labeling it “categories.” I wanted them to have a way to practice classifying things into a group. Each card lists 3 items and the students were instructed to label the group. I included two recording sheets. One is specific to graphing and the other would allow you to use it as a stand alone activity or center. It’s a neat way to practice vocabulary as well.
This packet includes:
26 task cards
3 recording sheets
