This non-fiction passage and assessment collection was written for Grades 5-7 and will have your students work with 12 different Common Core Informational Text Standards over the course of 4-6 class periods. It was created as a way to focus on having students compare and integrate information from two different texts on the same topic, in this case, lightning. Using lengthier passages with two different viewpoints and ideas on this one topic, students are able to think critically about the differences in point of view, purpose, and structure by completing short-answer and writing work. Instructions and ideas for using this set of work are provided.
***NOTE: None of this collection is sold individually or as part of any other collection or set. If you buy this bundle you will not receive any duplicates of other products that I offer.
