This graphic organizer breaks down Task 3 on the New York State English Language Arts Regents into minute detail. It reviews vocabulary derived from the actual prompt found on the ELA regents, breaks down the argument, and helps students craft a scaffolded argument. You can skip areas depending on how much scaffolding your student requires to succeed. This organizer is to be used with any literary excerpt of your choice. I use both adapted novel chapters and actual ELA regents texts, depending on the student with whom I'm working.
