I love using task cards in my classroom. They are a nice break from traditional school work. They learn so much more than what's on each card. They learn how to cooperate with others and gain valuable social skills.
This set of 48 task cards is aligned to CCSS 3.OA.1. This group models the process of multiplication for groups of 2 and 3. Cards include arrays, number lines, and word problems Students locate three different cards that model the same multiplication expression.
The cards can also be used as regular task cards too. There are a few ideas on how to use them in games as well. A scoot response form and answer key are included.
Although these cards were designed for 3rd grade, they would make a great introduction to multiplication for 2nd grade. Please keep in mind that these task cards go all the way up to the product of 3 x 12. Having been a 4th grade teacher, I know those 4th graders still need a little review too!
I included the option to print the answers on the back of each task card. Response forms and an answer key are included.
For those concerned about printing in color, there is a black and white version included.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at this product. -Copper Classroom
