PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This test meets the following 3rd grade common core state standards:
3.NF.2
3.NF.3
Questions include:
* Comparing fractions that use the following rules: same numerator, same denominator, or missing piece strategy (each fraction is missing 1 piece of the whole, so the fraction with the larger numerator and denominator is the larger fraction, i.e. 5/6 < 7/8)- 7 questions
* ordering fractions from least to greatest or greatest to least (all fractions in set have either same numerators or same denominators) - 6 questions
* Name a fraction greater than, less than or between a given fraction- 3 questions
* label fractions on a given number line- 4 questions
* Identify the numerator and denominator in a given fraction- 1 question
* Explain in pictures or words how you know 2 fractions are equivalent- 1 question
* Part 2 of the test allows students to use their fraction strips for fractions that do not "follow the rules." 4 questions have students make an equivalent fraction for a given fraction and 4 questions have students compare fractions using fraction strips

If you are in need of fraction strips, here is a link to a free printable: http://lrt.ednet.ns.ca/PD/BLM/pdf_files/fraction_strips/fs_to_twelfths_labelled.pdf
